Tena koutou,
If you had a feature article in a magazine (up to around 1,500 words) with a dedicated readership of about 15,000 students on the topic of "the Internet", what are the most important points on policy, privacy, neutrality, etc. to raise?
This is the situation in front of me now. I'm a student in Wellington, New Zealand and I contribute to the local student mag. In face of this issue's topic matter, my first thought was to ask for your personal input on what would be the absolute most important information to communicate to a young 20-something in 2014.
My focus is on privacy, political tomfoolery and the role of the multinational. As a periphery, New Zealand is often subject to wider structural forces (most often from your neck of the woods). We also have Dotcom here (thought most NZers are sick of hearing of him - I'm still fascinated), and an upcoming election with a smug, TPPA-doting incumbent fool who is likely to remain in power.
I'm not after you guys writing this for me. Within this is a request for permission to use you as a source (with appropriate plugging in-article, as well). I've been following The Tek since the start and would appreciate some perspective and opinions.
