The missing piece of Oculus Rift - Pupil Tracking. Your thoughts?

Even with the Oculus Rift, you can't get precision, since there's only head tracking, and there's no eye tracking. I've spent the last 20 minutes or so looking through youtube videos of pupil tracking demos and I wondered when and how this could be incorporated into the Oculus Rift.

This last trailer (which I think is a shot far off the bullseye of that the product really is) seems like proprietary trash, but it'd be nice if it were open standard.


I also asked the neckbeards of 4chan's /g/. The thread derailed, as usual.

So what are your thoughts? Does this seem like it'd be essential to the Oculus Rift; or are you already well off looking at the screen without any special eye tracking?
