The Microsoft IllumiRoom demo uses Open Source Linux Games

This Microsoft demo of Illumiroom features Supertuxkart & Red Eclipse. Well, it's just a Demo, we know this will never be in the final produck. God forbid you even use an engine with copyleft Code on a traditional Console...

Looks very cool. Although I would not want to use it for a first person shooter. But Racing, RTS and maybe 3rd Persons it could be really neat.

They probably used open source games because they may have needed to tinker with the code of the game to get it to work properly and going through the hassle of getting the rights or bothering some devs to modify their proprietary engine/game just for a demo doesn't really make sense. God forbid Microsoft ever make use of or support open source. It's funny because Microsoft doesn't really hate open source as much as some people seem to imply. They support Linux on some of their cloud platforms/services, can't remember what it's called.

"Linux is a cancer that attaches itself in an intellectual property sense to everything it touches,"-Steve Ballmer

I just find his hypocrisy to be funny. Also, there's a payed indie game that's better than a lot of Xbox live Arcade games (Steel Storm) and it will never be on Xbox Live because the Engine (Darkplaces) use GPL Code.

Yep! That's deffinitly Super Tux Karts! Remember Microsoft using Linux to power Skype servers.
