The Linux Kernel Adopts A Code of Conduct

#274

Stay on topic please.

#275

Im leaning to towards common sense will prevail. Way to many grey beards on the kernel mailing list.

#276

Seems in response to this proposal for a CoC Devs are threatening to pull their code licences. https://lulz.com/linux-devs-threaten-killswitch-coc-controversy-1252/

#277

This CoC needs to be ejected ASAP.

#278

As if the real goal of it wasn’t blatant enough, I assume this is the same left that calls everyone who disagrees with them a nazi?

CoC%201

#279

Finally an opportunity for FreeBSD to show it’s quality, 2019 will be the year FreeBSD desktop!

#280

Ehhhhh FBSD did the same thing a few years ago.

At least we have Haiku, AROS, and MINIX still…

#281

FreeBSD is worse, did you mean OpenBSD?
https://www.freebsd.org/internal/code-of-conduct.html

#282

I don’t know the difference.

#284

tl;dr?

#285

Why isn’t there discussion on reddit about this?

#286

Because we are the only ones who concern ourselves with such petty conversation.

#287

+Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be
+reported by contacting the Technical Advisory Board (TAB) at
+<[email protected]>. All complaints will be reviewed and
+investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and
+appropriate to the circumstances. The TAB is obligated to maintain
+confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident. Further details of
+specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.
+
+Maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may
+face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other members of the
+project’s leadership.

It says right in the text, any action of enforcement will have a review process to ensure that it is appropriate and necessary. I can’t imagine what people are so upset about. Did anyone even read the document?

#292

And when the review board becomes the same radical left ideology as the author of the Covenant? As that’s generally part 2 of the plan for take over.

Case in Point, attempting to smear someone on the the TAB as a rape apologist as linked earlier.

Then blocking me on twitter when i point out that they’re lying…

Why does this link always break…

#293

That’s funny as calling people nazies would be breaking the CoC.
