The last corner stone of the console

Hello again Tek sydicate community.

As of lately i noticed there was a thread strarted by Logan i believe (don't quote me on that) regarding the next up comming Kill your console video and within that thread there is a list about the pro's of pc over console witch is well composed too. But something is missing from this list that console has that Pc currently doesn't.

Local native multiplayer, in other words screen sharing or even multi-screen multiplayer from the same system.

Ok yes, we can do this with emulators already i know. But that's where it ends im afraid. we all know the pc has been fighting the console for it's rightful place in the living room (In my opnion anyway) for years now. based on my own personal experience and opnions of friends who console game as there primary median of entertainment that this lack of support for titles on pc is what is holding it back the most, it's that kind of personal social experience that still can't be easily had without mainly using a console.

This needs to change if the pc want's market supremacy as the true dominating platform it is, after all everything the pc does the console can't do nearly as well and this is that one thing the pc can't do so why not? so yeah that's why im making this thread because i wan't to know what you guy think about this and even how we could change this? we have the hardware already we just need the support for it.

Couldn't agree more. I own a ps3 and I am planning to move PC soon but the only thing I would miss is splitscreen. I think splitscreen games might come to PC with the steam box b/c thats trying to compete directly with consoles.

Just gives me the excuse to build more computers :P

Ajit Beeki well i Hope so otherwise they are going to have a tough time in competing with the console impaticular, this is admitidly why im intrested also of getting it implemented sooner. but yeah i know that feel.

cooperman well yeah :) but alot of people won't even consider pc because of this hang up, although if the support was in place would'nt more people want pc's there for more pc's would needed to be built :P

speaking of witch im in the middle of building a micro-atx rig to take to mates houses so i can sort of show case pc to console gamers and also enjoy pc gaming while im at mates houses lol.

i guess were the only only one's that really care about this... Huh

Who needs split-screen when you have LAN parties?

your missing my point here, not every one wants to do that for various reasons

1920.1080.1280.720p thanks for the link, but the comments don't really justify why we should'nt have split screen. the theme seems to be we interact differently socialy and with our hardware and that's the way it should be.... witch seems narrow minded to me. i game with a controller as well as a mouse and keyboard so yeah, also the point of why im trying to push this is so console gamers are more willing to get into pc and to make it a more sociable experience. admitidly if this really is the attitude of pc gamers then no wounder alot of console gamers don't want to convert, that and the fact this issue has not been adressed like it should.

Back when I was a console gamer, my preference was to have two consoles and two screens.

Split screen is for times when your friends are too lazy to carry their console to your house. lawl

well yeah we have our prefrences and to no suprise i uphold the same prefrence, but split screen has it's place, covinince, practicality, more cost effective, even space. iv lan'd with consoles before now and without split screen we would'nt have had enough space for all the screens and machines to have everyone playing. so yeah.

its important to understand that a lot of parents don't like buying consoles for their kids and the only way for them to play is by coming over and playing splitscreen.
