The Green Side of the Force

I just received my 1080ti from L1T (as featured in the World's Fastest Ryzen system).

I'm going to be adding it to my custom loop with my 4.6GHz 5820k to see how fast it can go with good cooling.

fancy.... I prolly would've just played games with it...

Oh make no mistake, there will be plenty of prime gaming pixels being pushed by this pinnacle of performance.

Don't get too carried away, there is some serious diminishing returns on frequency with pascal which explains why they are clocked so 'low' out of the box and conversely why they can overclock 'so well'.

Nvidia really do a good job of getting all the performance they can out of the box nowadays with their cards using their auto-oc technology and that is really good because consumers are being shipped products that perform near their best straight from the box (which is what should happened), so kudos to them. It is unfortunate that this diminishing return was not really explored though...

Enjoy the card, and report back with results :P

My own tiny set of silly benchmarks are here. I haven't taken the time to unlock voltage yet.
