These new FM2+ socket boards using the A88X chipset are really nice! Look at the features you can get for the price on some of Gigabyte's boards. A G1 Sniper for $115? Finally PCI 3.0 and all SATA ports are 6GB/s stock.

I'm actually very tempting to buy the Gigabyte UP4 for $110 right now along with an Athlon x4 750k if eight core Steamroller chips are supposedly heading to the FM2+ socket next year.

For the price of locked i5 or an fx8350, one could get a very nice and sexy looking mobo with a decent quad core CPU that can keep up with today's higher end cards and then swap it out for the 28nm version of the fx eight core when it releases.

I can't stop looking at the UP4 :P

These do look good but I would say hold off until those new chips drop.  Save up and get a new board, cpu, and gpu.

Saving up for a new board and cpu right now. Actually I have tons of money, I'm just a very careful spender haha and look to get the best bang for buck. Currently rocking a gtx760 for gpu so I'm not looking to upgrade that for years to come.

Right on dood.
