The Best PC

I was browsing the forums and I was seeing all these rigs and It got me wondering what the best consumer PC money could buy? Like seriously what is THE BEST PC money could buy would you put in an i7 or an FX-8350? And then there's the keyboard and mouse! Would you get a Cherry MX Blue or Brown? And don't even get started on the monitors, would you have three in an Eyefinity? Or maybe even Six?

there is no one best one, the things that make one pc better for one thing, are the exact things that make it inferior to others. It depends on need.

an example would be, a scientist may want a few Crays....whereas a Cray XE6 would be nobodys first choice for gaming or music editing.

Yeah, there really isn't a 'best' out there. For example, a consumer could purchase enough stuff to create something like the Tianhe-2 in their basement, but that's not practical.

To me the 'best' for gaming would be something like an i5 4670K or FX-8350, GTX 780 Ti, SSD of choice, and 8-16 GB of RAM. More than powerful enough for 99.9% of games and you won't need to take out a mortgage for it.

The 'best' for editing/modeling would be something with one or two Xeon E3 1230V3, 780 Ti, Titan, R9 290X, or equivalent workstation card depending on specific programs, a small SSD and a crap ton of storage drives, and as much RAM as will fit. It would break the bank more than the gaming rig, but it would be blazing fast in just about everything.

As for mouse and keyboard, that's mostly personal preference.

For keyboards I would personally go for a Brown or Clear if I was typing, probably something like a Red or maybe even Green depending on how heavy I want the keys. or maybe a combo of Reds for WASD and Browns for everything else. Topres are pretty classy though, so I might have to go with the Type Heaven if I found one for a decent price.

For a mouse I would love a cross between the Corsair M45 and the M65. I like the feel, weight, and construction of the M65, but I like that that M45 has a nice optical sensor. And probably get rid of the two side buttons because I hit them by accident way too often. Keep the sniper button though, it's nice in Paint/Gimp/Photoshop when I need to work with some finesse.

Ideally I'd go for a 4930k, with a full custom loop, with four 290x 8GB editions also watercooled, powering 3x 3840x2160 monitors @ 60hz. paired with 64GB of RAM.
