Hopefully Beyerdynamic sends you the 1770's to do a full review on because if they are really as good as your initial impression makes them out to be, I might have to make the investment.
Are the Beyerdynamics DT 1770 Pro really worth it over the DT 770 Pro that are only ~150 bucks now? I mean the newer version is like 4 times the price...
I bought the DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm for like 110 bucks new'ish but the right speaker is a bit broken now so I'm lucking for something similar (closed headphones)...

I'm curious about the winner as well. There was a similar contest over at Digital Trends (also powered by Gleam) with the same headphone as the prize, and it showed the entry number and name of the winner, so I assumed it would happen here too, but looks like the winner hasn't been selected/posted yet.
