With christmas coming, I'm looking forward to treat myself with 29" monitor and came across two spec-wise very simular displays and can't realy decide which one to buy. So maybe someone here can help me?
The two monitors (as topic title sugests) are ASUS PB298Q and LG 29UC97C-B. I can get ASUS for 406 € and LG for 436 €, so there's not much of a price diference.
The problem is that I'm not realy able to find any review on LG, so I have no info as of posible backlight bleeding (as many times pointed out in ASUS reviews). ASUS has LG panel, but which one realy is better?
I would go with the LG cause it's curved. Also the asus has been replaced by the PB299Q which is a lot nicer looking
That's it... Sorry Asus... I need the split screen...
I was steered more towards LG too.
It doesn't matter to me, that it's curved. At 29" the curve might as well not even be there, when talking 34" only than it might begin to be beneficial, if at all.
The ASUS is 2 years old model and as far as I was able to find, the LG is from July this year. The panel technology move forward so fast now. So my logic behind this was newer = better.
Only thing that made me stop was ASUS's stand and also lack of LG's reviews.
But if it's the same panel as in LG 34UC97 it's a buy for me, because that panel didn't receive single bad review. Can anyone confirm this to me?
