The Art of Negotiation

I was talking shop with a 360 gamer. He was looking forward to the Bioshock game and he just got done playing the new skyrim DLC too. I was like dude after this year the 360 is toast. Slice it up its bread and eat it. Get a PC now and then you get some free games going on steam. Wait for some steam sales...etc.

So in order to convice him he said ok fine keep it under 750.

Here's the build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/KVRQ

I hope I'm on the right track if anyone can keep it under 750 major props for converting a gamer to the ride side of the fence.

Oh god man.

There's no need for RAM like that, especially at 1600MHz. Just grab what's cheapest.

An SSD like that would be completely pointless as far as gaming goes. It won't benefit in any ways.

A 7870XT will have a great performance increase over the 7850.

I second, Spenlard. do his build

I would just take Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard instead of that ASRock.

Everything else is fine...

Same critisism as miskonius. +1 for splenard.

if you not gonne do a oc then the asrock boards arent that bad for normal useage.

if you want to oc then that gigabyte  board is a good one, cause of the 8+2 power phase..

the zalman z9 has no usb 3.0 front, panel if that matters to you then chance it to the zalman z9 plus u3

HD7870 is a really great card for the money. A friend of mine just upgraded from a GTX260 to XFX 7870 and he is really satisfied with the performance :)

So the guy is going to recycle his old antec 302 case so take that out of the build list and he's got a set of rip jaws 2x4 8GB to throw in the machine too. Also I cannibalized one of my systems and gave him a dvd drive. Future proofed his psu too.

Final build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/Ltaf (with all the parts included)

Thanks for the help!
