The AMH A399U Color Accuracy

Hey guys, just saw the review from Wendell on the AMH A399U: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o553bTyFElQ

But I was curious, I am a graphic designer and rely on pretty dang good color accuracy to do my work properly. Does anyone know how the color accuracy on this monitor is? I don't remember Wendell talking about that in the review. Thanks!

i dont know about the color accuracy of this particular panel.
But if you are a graphical designer, i think AH-ips or S-ips would be your best choice.

Maybe wendell jump in on this one, to tell more indept about the color accuracy of that panel.

If your output is to web only then it wouldn't be too bad since its just an 8-bit sRGB monitor. If you're working with CMYK and up then you're better served with a wide gamut AH-IPS to avoid having your colors banding due to the monitor's gamut.

color accuracy is not bad, but not as good as IPS, for sure. It's really good, though. I'd say probably 90%/decent.
As a web dev, you should get a shitty TN monitor as a secondary because they are everywhere and you can get into situations where it doesn't look right on a TN panel but looks great with accurate color.
For us, I like the ecosystem of lots of different display types because, sometimes, when everyone has a mac the monoculture is bad for actually spotting those kinds of contrast issues.
this monitor is true 4:4:4 with displayport.

Thank you very much for the replies. I have a IPS monitor but it is1080p, so I am hoping to make the jump to 4k soon. I will consider this monitor for some of the work that does not need as much color accuracy, cheers guys.
