The AMD Radeon 7870 XT Cards; are they really that good?

I've heard about the new 7870s (OR the 7930s, as everyone keeps on calling them), I was wondering, are they really that good??? In the benchmark of the 660 Ti from Tek Syndicate, a lot of comments kept on arguing about the 660 Ti and the 7870 XT. 

Also, what is your favourite GPU producer: NVIDIA or AMD (And KEEP IT CIVILISED!)

I pick AMD. :D

the 7870XT will beat a 660Ti, plain and simple, especially if you factor in overclokcing.

7870XT is a good card for the price, i recommed the Sapphire 7870XT. but if you can afford it to spend a extra 40 dollar, then go for a 7950, cause that one is more powerfull
