The $9000 build

Roll the clocks back (circa 1986ish) and start with this CPU below:

If I was you I would put in 16GB of ram instead of just the 8GB that seams kind of lacking for an apparent 9000 dollar computer

On a side note to the original poster, you can't do quad crossfire on that motherboard and also fit a sound card, it doesn't have enough slots. Also, I'm not entirely sure if you are trolling us or not. Quad crossfire is not actually much better than dual crossfire, in terms of things that actually support it. Instead it would be much better to have a fairly large PCI-e SSD boot drive from OCZ. That will get you booted up before you can get your finger fully off the power switch. Then you would also have room left over for your sound card.

8G of ram that's sick man!

Anyways, I'd get this and an Ultrabook/Macbook air http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ukv7 .

Damn that's a nice build. I love your builds man

I've been out of the swing of high end pc gaming for a while but great gobbdely goo, $750 for a cpu? $600 for a motherboard? Did the value of the dollar plunge at some point?
