I posted asking about the best gear to use with the R9 290 which i bought out of the blue.
Just writing this to thank everyone that contributed to helping me.
I have gone with
AMD 8350 (never owned an amd cpu before but price wise it seemed like the best choice)
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler
G.Skill Ripjaws 2X4GB of ram
1TB Hybird SSD hard Drive.
750 watt Gold rated power supply cannot remember brand off the top of my head.
Going with the AMD CPU allowed me to get better ram and an aftermarket cooler for a similar price of buying the Intel i5.
If you guys are interested i will post pics of the finished product. Just hope everything fits inside a case i bought several years ago. This is my first build in 8 years been a console gamer for a wee while plus my laptop was runs most games at very low settings.I have no preferance in brands Intel, AMD or Nvidia I just buy whats good bang for buck.
