TekSyndicate Community Event 6/22/13 - Trouble In Terrorist Town

Teksyndicate will be having a community event this Saturday evening at 7:00pm EST. All members are welcome, the only prerequisite is that you own the game :)

We will be playing Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT), a modification for Garry's Mod (Gmod) that is included with the game, which can be purchase here on Steam for $10.

TTT is a game to which I can only describe as 'clue with guns'. The premise is that a random player is selected as the traitor, a person whose mission is to keep cool and kill other terrorists. If a traitor succeeds in killing all of the terrorists, that person wins the game. On the other end, the terrorists must work together to find out who the traitor is, although not everyone can be trusted.

You can join the game at 7:00pm EST at Teksyndicate's Event Server by connecting your game to game.teksyndicate.com.

Is there anyway to play without having CS:S installed? I have Garry's Mod.

There is, though it appears to work 25% of the time.  Check out these add-ons.

You can play but you'll see a boatload of big red "error"s all over the map. Anoying as hell, but still technically playable.

be nice if it was just a weekend later, that way, i'm at my mom's, and have a real gfx card, not shitty hd 3000 laptop...

You can play without owning it but you'd see a bunch of errors everywhere

or you can get a friend who has the game to extract the gcf and send you the files however that would be stealing

Will there be any mumble/teamspeak/ventrillo service we will be using? I can offer up the unofficial mumble server for use.

will be there.... and for those of you who dont have cs:s.... i have a sort of gray area trick.

 

i used to run a gmod server. theres a tool for running the server called hldsupdatetool. its made by valve, so its legal, and not from some russian warez forum. anyway, it allows you to download the textures and models for a SERVER.... so you know, you can host a cs:s server without installing the full game on your server box.you could... essentially, use the hldsupdatetool to download the materials and models for a cs:s server.

make a new folder called "LolLegalPiracy" and inside make a folder called "materials" and another called "models". copy the materials and models junk from your "server" into there. then in the root of your LolLegalPiracy folder, add a file called "addon.txt" and put the following inside of it.

usually you just use the im game voice chat, as voice is a very critical part of TTT. also, if you do team chat and you are a traitor, it will only send it to other traitors, so you can work togeather like that.
