Microsoft blames a few greedy storage users for the change in heart. "A small number of users," they wrote, "backed up numerous PCs and stored entire movie collections and DVR recordings. In some instances, this exceeded 75 TB per user or 14,000 times the average."
LOL Srly? Anyone can make a small script or even a program that check the integrity of the file. Making more easy with PC images... Also having these kind of service and the marketing of unlimited space.. this will attract that kind of users. As far this doesnt affect me much.. I only have some photos from my trip to Finland and Estonia.
Things I want to say: AMD Zen sounds to be good. The NSA10 thing: What did the world expect? To get something for free? If it is free, you are the product!
I may end up using Windows 10 at some point, though. When/If I do I'll do what I can to stop the data mining. If there's something I can't do about it, I won't make a huge fuss about it as long as I'm still able to get things done.
With Zen a lot comes to mind, does it really need to be faster than Intel’s flagship or would one be happy with more Pcie lanes? I am thinking the latter and hope AMD comes across this time.
Nobody cares unless amd have highest of high end performance king... They could charge 3000$ for 16 core that beats Intel with 5% margin... If they don't have the performance king nobody will care for price to performance and the other stuff... I mean take a look at the gpu market... AMD has been price to performance always better than Nvidia. Owns 20% of the market. Nvidia have one overpriced gpu that beats AMD's flagship by 5% margin for 30% higher price - owns 80% of the market... If amd don't outperform X99 nobody will care about the technology and the core count and price to performance ratio...
I think your wrong, the work (adult) side of my brain says: “can I stay viable and profitable with this?” and the home (kid) side of my brain says: “does it work and what else can I get working on it?” Still have a few Amd servers chugging along, doing what I built them to do. Consider me your “Nobody” :-)
Sorry for the belated response, have been busy with things (life in general) plus I wanted to do a little research first before popping off like an idiot. AMD has me leaning back in my chair searching for words, loved their stuff back in the day and don’t have a qualified perspective/point to make for them or you; what I can say is that Zen will probably be a day one purchase for me so on the weekends I could crack a beer next to the box and reminisce to once was.
Not meeee... God no... I love me some AMD Fanboyism, but i'm not buying this thing before i see some reviews... I'd rather see the CPU division dies and free Radeon division, than having another mediocre product, and again dragin the entire company down... I'm AMD fanboy, i just don't trust them enough with this thing... I still say FuryX is better than 980Ti for a whole bunch of reasons, but the CPU side need to win me slightly more... I need the tests before i can justify to myself a Zen purchase...
Anyway shitty jokes aside this is a nice little article you wrote up Kat I like it. I'm kind of looking forward to Zen but Q4 2016 is fair bit away. I've had to recommend Intel for most thing of late except for very entry level builds where I recommend a 860K.
Man if there's one thing I love It's getting spied on, moreover I wouldn't be surprised If when I turned off all windows updates if It still preloaded damn windows 10 on me. I've been saying I'm gunna move to linux for a while now, maybe It's time for me to dual boot.
if you have a cracked version of windows 7 windows 10 can not preload or try to force an install. i think the cracked version of windows 8/8.1 is the same. personally i would crack legit copy's of all versions windows to take full control away from microsoft. i do recommend turning off auto update to everyone and for them to look at the updates before installing them. windows 7 and 8 are getting ports of the privacy invasion and data collection.
Hahahaha but, but, but Keller man!………………. Yes, yes will look at connectivity first, if anything else, it will be one hell of a conversational peace when beer buds come over. For some it’s cars, for me it’s items of definition ;-)
Yeah... Even then... I trust him, I trust Lisa Su, she made a god damn lot of work and basically saved the company... I don't trust the rest of AMD CPU division... There haven't been any significant bottlenecks found... So there are issues... We shall see...
