Tech Advice

ok, i have about a nice maybe 400 to 500 buck rig (actually i bought it for 600 bucks but, i had money and dont wanna risk fuggin up while assembling a computer)

Core: i5 3rd gen 3340

Motherboard: some standard MiniATX with one PCIex8 (maybe x16 dunno) with a miniPCI with a built in wireless and 3 PCIes

GPU: Nvidia Geforce 630 2GB

HDD: 1 TB Western Digital Blue HDD

Optical: standard DVD-RW combo CD-RW

Ram: 2 sticks of 4 gb 1600MHz of Ram

Power Supply: run of the mill non-modular 300W PS

now i know, for something thats 600 and the parts are about 400 bucks, thats quite a steal, the processor and the hard drive are great, the GPU is nothing special but nice (1080p games on low but thats what i want without lower than youtube quality XD), the ram is awesome, and thats just standard ram sticks too XD not upgraded, came with it

now what do i wanna upgrade, well i cant have that 300 watt if i wanna get the GPU replaced unless i can find a cheap 750ti thats 3 GBs...which never will happen, i already got one in mind, a Seasonic 80 plus Bronze 620 watt PS thats nice and cheap, less than 90 and on sale (if it does) may go lower than 70 bucks, STUPID CHEAP if i can find it that low, and the GPU, TONS that are nice and sexy, cheap to stupid cheap, but i'm looking at Nvidia Geforce GTX 760s

now theres some that are 250, but those ZOTAC ones look like they are a thermite bomb waiting to happen, i'm looking at a Gigabyte Windforce OC edition that has 4 GBs of GDDR5 ram =w= 300 bucks that an't bad, specially since some of the reviewers say they got it stupid cheap at 260 bucks on sale at some point, and with Nvidia giving away free copies of Watch Doges (thats just a joke, saying Doges, thats not teasing it, thats my personal amusement), i'll buy that in a heartbeat XD

what do you think is my decision on my potential upgrades and should i go for something else, and i want power, not cheapness, but at a nice price, not saying i'm not wanting a AMD card, but i wanna play BL2 with PhysX on owo

Sincerely

okay I hate to break it to you but 400$ in parts plus another 200 for labor isn't a steal, unless you consider paying someone maybe 100$ an hour, because at max it took maybe 2 hours to put that thing together

if you can take it back do it and then I can make a list for you to make an ALREADY badass machine that doesn't need upgrading

the other day I made a rig with for 700$ with a Decent CPU, 8GB of ram, 1TB HDD, 630w PSU, nice case and a R9-280x

if you can't take it back give us a budget on what you are willing to spend on a upgrade and we'll see what we can do,

building it yourself is super easy and worth it if you can shave off 200 big ones

if i REALLY had to upgrade that system in the near future it would be the GPU, maybe a 750ti,if you are on a budget I'm not sure that Nvidia 630 GPU will be capable of running 1080p gaming very well anyways, and it would be an awesome upgrade, Low Power and Excellent Performance.

thats the point silly XP of course *wiggles a M.Bison figure* i'm upgrading the GPU, and i'm amazed that the 630 is performing the way it is, it can take Crysis with everything low and high textures and still be really nice at 1080p is awesome, but yes, i WOULD go for 750ti, but i want a card i dont need to upgrade later (as in, have a lot of card ram) cause i need more GDDR5 ram in the card later on or go for SLI till i know how to put things together, the first guy i would of done it, but i never experienced and/or have a deep contact to a guy that can help with this, BUT... this dont mean my second PC wont be built, but i need a better job and i think buying a PC than a console was WAY better investment, but yes, other than the Power Supply, the GPU is my main goal to upgrade =w= and i'm willing to pay extra for something nice, like that 4GB Geforce GTX 760 =w=

well if you want extra VRAM on your GPU then you might want to go the AMD Route, however I would also upgrade the PSU if you were to do that, AMD is much more Generous with their VRAM (GDDR5) Count but they tend to pull a little more power than Nvidia Cards, always giving you an extra Gigabyte on the VRAM than what Nvidia Offers. but also let me be clear Extra VRAM doesn't make a Card better, having extra VRAM on a GPU helps when you are running games that are heavy on the textures, Like Heavily Modded Skyrim or Crysis 3 or even future "next gen" games. and on a 760 it doesn't makes sense to have cause the card is powerful but not enough that it 4GBs will benefit from. however its still a good bang for the buck card.

specially i can get it super stupid cheap with the sexy price of $260, but i'll wait till Nvidia makes a DX12 revision of the 7x0 series.......

unless i see it go stupid cheap, and i said i got a PSU already picked thats cheap anyway XP

leave all components alone and just buy a gpu. would breathe some life into that sexy system of yours. 750ti says hi, which would mean you wont have to worry too much about the psu side of things.
