Tcase vs Tjunction max?

Hi, when it comes down to CPU temps, what is the difference between Tcase and Tjunction max, Intel are confusing me here?

I've read up on it a bit but its not really in english but computer talk.

Please make me understand, cheers.

Tcase is pretty much what the temp of your CPU is, measured by your motherboard. This is what you see from something like Realtemp. The Tjunction max, or Thermal Junction max is the maximum temperature your CPU is rated for. So a distance from TJ max would read TJ max - Tcase.
