Tax Return PC (First Build)

Hello,

I am going to be building my first PC with my tax return. I watched someone build one for me 6 years ago but I had no part in it. They ordered the parts etc.. I am wanting to make a gaming build for Elder Scrolls Online, and various FPS's such as COD and more. I watched the 550$ build by Logan but prices change and I am needing to keep this thing under 800$ I would like to keep it under 700$ if possible. I priced the parts he listed on Amazon and Newegg but I can hardly keep the price under 700$ and this was a 550$ build, it was around the holidays and all when the video was made I understand sales but I am really thinking this is on my error and maybe not using the correct website etc... the only changes I have made from the video build is the case and it is about 30$ more than the case listed in the video. I will post a link of the parts used on the build with no case.

One more noobish question, when purchasing a CPU will it come with a stock heatsink or does this have to be purchased seperately?

Here is the link to my build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BUMN

It is pricing to be about 600$ with no case which is pretty close and my other question is if I purchase these parts minus thermal paste will I need to buy anything else? or will I need to purchase hardware, cables etc...

most of the cpus will come with the stock heatsinks they will do u fine but if u want you can always get a hyper212 evo at newegg for around 30 bucks. pretty cheap and ur computer build... switch out your processor with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103962 and like i said grab a hyper 212 evo just make those changes and ur computer is good to go. i wouldnt recommend overclocking on ur cpu or gpu as it consumes ur power supply like a starving hobo who hasnt ate in 2 months... lol

I would really recommend dual channel memory. Go with this stuff-

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104277 Ive been recommending it quite a bit for some reason.

oh lol i didnt notice that thanks for pointing that out :)

What about this build? Anything that should be changed on it?

Bump.

Hows this man? Bit more bang for your buck http://pcpartpicker.com/p/C41p

^that build is beast (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/C41p) +1 to that one!!!!!

Haha thanks its pretty nice

Dont' get a 6200. Get a 6300.

Also get a NZXT 220 for a case and throw the extra 25ish dollars somewhere else.

Okay I got another one let me know what this one looks like Toast. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/C5gd

And will I need to be purchasing and hardware or cables etc... or will my build pretty much come with everything I need for assembly?

I don't know if the 955 will be able to handle the 7870 w/out bottlenecking, but it looks like a nice build.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CdVr If this is to far out of yout budget swap the FX-8350 For the FX-6300 But for ~$850 This Rig will kick ass

Heres a cheaper option http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ce3r

I wouldn't skimp out on not getting an SSD.  Get an SSD for performance.  A 120GB woudn't kill your budget and it can hold all your applications/games/OS etc...  Add storage later if you need it.
