hey i just finished setting up my new build, i was gonna learn how to use MO but then i saw news of it being replaced soon by Tannin, is it worth mastering MO considering that?
Well the Remaster of Skyrim is gonna be out shortly so mods will have to be updated for it, or ported over somehow.
And in the mean time, the current Nexus Mod Manager will be replaced with something new.
So i'd just say wait, keep busy with Fallout New Vegas or something in the meantime.
The New NMM being produced by the Nexus with Tannin as lead developer will probably not come out in quite some time. If you're modding plain old 32 bit Skyrim, the current stable MO is not a bad choice. NMM works well too. I have used both to mod 32-bit Skyrim and both work well. MO glitches out for me now and then, just like NMM can. I like some of the extra features of MO though.
I think this is tremendously great news. An experienced dev is now heading the dev team over at NexusMods. Remember that Tannin made MO in his spare time, while having a full time job. The New mod manager they make will probably be kick ass! Just don't expect them to release anything really usable soon, it will take time.
I never tried the unstable beta for MO 2, and I noticed that development of it kinda halted a couple of months ago. Tannin stated that he did not have time for it. Bad news if you're a user I guess, I've used NMM for Fallout 4 and had very little trouble.
so i could learn how to use MO in the meantime i dont think i can wait since i just built a new PC. i thought MO was better for FO4, im using NMM on it as well, what mods would you recommend to use with a 1070 ?
