Hello all, I’ve taken my t420 apart twice, once to fix the mouse buttons below the track pad, another to clean and replace thermal compound. Bootup afterwards has been fine, and I have to use the afformentioned keys for login, so I know they worked after my last opening. Suddenly they stopped. Do you think I need to open it back up and jiggle some things, or is it time for an eBay keyboard replacement? It seems two right next to each other going bad at the same time seems ribbon cable or connector related.
Could be something as simple as dust/grit getting under the mechanism. Do you have any canned air or a compressor? Give those keys a blast and see if it can bring them back.

Gave canned air a whirl, and also lifted the keyboard up and messed around a bit- fricken love how modular and easy T420s are to work on. Ordered another keyboard on fleabay to keep this think trucking.
