Switching to PC for $500

Hey Logan and Wendell,

I have been an avid console gamer for some time now. Just recently, I've decided to switch over to PC gaming. Problem is, there are just way to many options. So, can you help me pick out some parts for a gaming machine? I want to keep it as close to $500 as possible.

I want it to be a Micro-ATX form-factor, and have a monster CPU and GPU.

Thanks,

Marty

thats over your budget, but that might be able to give you an idea.

you can of course reduce the ram speed and maybe go cheaper on the mobo. the 6 cores and the 7870 though is really beefy. max settings on any game

I didn't know whether you required an operating system. So this is just parts at $510-520.

It's ready for an upgrade to a GTX 760, whenever you can afford a GPU of tha caliber. It has potential.
