ive look on my wireless internet adapter site to see if there something for my adapter before switching over to Linux Mint 14 "Nadia" - Cinnamon but ive found nothing so my first question is when i install lm14c what do i do to get the adapter to work or does it already have a driver for it? my next question is should i disable my second hdd before installing so not to lose my data on my data drive i might have more question later but thats all that came to mind right now thanks for any help.
Is your computer connected via ethernet cable or wireless?
You shouldn't lose any data if you partition it properly. Mint should give you an easy dual-boot option when you install it. It will just add a partition to the drive where you have Windows 7 installed and you can select which OS to use when you boot your computer.
But if you want to be really safe and 100% sure you don't screw it up, you can disconnect the 2nd drive from your motherboard before installing.
