Switching cpu regularly

hello all!

new to the forum and this is my first post!

sooo im in the military and i just built my first rig. i just received orders to a boat, i want to build a itx rig for my underway times because my main rig is waaaay to big to take with me.

my question is, is it ok to use my current cpu, gpu, and ram with my new build and change it back every 3 to 6 months when i get back. or would this be bad for the pins with the cpu?

any opinions and advice will help

Well, if you go Intel they are all LGA so the CPU doesn't have any pins to bend. As for the rest you should be fine. I mean you aren't going to be changing them everyday and if you aren't an animal taking them in and out they should last just fine.
