Swedish Metal

Is it me or does it seem like more and more Metal bands are coming from Sweden?

anyways, what do are some of your favorite bands from sweden?

Here some of mine, Ghost/Ghost B.C,. Avatar. Pain, In Flame,

Shining, Watain, Dissection, Opeth, Soilwork...and on and on

Opeth, Katatonia, Ghost.

Vomitory is one of my all time favorite Death Metal bands. And Marduk one of Black Metal favorites. Shining and Watain are also great. Though both of their new albums were pretty shit compared to their older stuff. LifeLover has a unique sound to them. Craft is some good old school Black Metal. Amon Amarth seems to be consistently releasing quality music. Isole has a somewhat monotonous sound among all of their albums, but it's the good kind of monotony.

Skyfire, Machinae Supremacy, Hypothermia, October Tide, In Flames, Soilwork, Soen, Scar Symmetry, Yoga, Cult of Luna, Burst, The Project Hate MCMXCIX, Draconian, Vildhjarta, Axenstar and Totalt Jävla Mörker

There's some to begin with. :D

Diablo Swing Orchestra

There not Swedish but Cult of Luna.

Amon Amarth and Scar Symmetry

Arch Enemy among others already posted

Meshuggah. First time I ever heard them I dropped my drink...onto someone's head.

Candlemass/ Arch Enemy/ Amon Amarth/ Meshuggah/ Soilwork/ Evergrey/ Dark Tranquillity/ In Flames / OPETH

At the Gates/ Crucified Barbara/ Entombed/ Grave/ Dismembered/ Unleashed/ Therion/ Insision...And on, and on...

I am a proud Swede and Meshuggah fan. They are one of few shining lights in the darkness of a metal genré in decline.

I also fancy Opeth and Katatonia, as well as the 90's melodic death metal, like At The Gates and the early albums by Dark Tranquilltiy and In Flames.

Opeth, Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, Dark Tranquillity, Scar Symmetry, Solution .45, Miseration, Katatonia, Soen, Nightrage.... there's probably many more that I can't think of right now, but euro metal bands just do it for me, oh so fucking much!

Finland is another country I can think of some interesting metal bands!

Insomnium, Ensiferum, Turisas, Wintersun, Apocalyptica, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Children Of Bodom, Warmen, Northern Kings, SoulRelic, For My Pain

Soilwork. Forever and ever Soilwork. They're the band that got me in to melodeath, and away from Metalcore (which I can't stand to listen to anymore for some reason).

I saw them live in Charlotte, NC at Tremont Music Hall back in April. It was their first time in Charlotte in like four years.

Tremont has awful acoustics, but Soilwork killed it regardless. I was just happy to finally see them live. I might not ever get the chance again...sadly.

But holy crap...Living Infinite. Such a great album in my opinion.
