When I came across this it brought a smile to my face, so I thought I would share it.
Sounds like wlroots could help bring a lot of the smaller window managers together, and make components like screenlockers and panels shared between DEs / window managers.
It will be interesting to see if Budgie/MATE/XFCE will be using this as well when they move to Wayland.
