I prefer BF1. Lot of people like to trash it, but I have fun playing it.

Everyone shit talks it so much but I think that is just bangwagonning and wanting to be cool by hating EA and DICE/BF.
BF1 is a a very good game and I have found myself really enjoying it. I got it for $30 on sale and I thought it was a good deal. I certainly got my moneys worth. 60+ hours in and still not bored.
I actually think the community is pretty good too surprisingly. Rarely run into assholes and people genuinely try and work together.
It's fun. It's also fairly balanced too imo. It looks great. The sound design is absolutely gorgeous and the attention to detail and little touches really make it. Honestly one of the most immersive shooters I've played

Personally I played in the beta of both and I didn't like either of them.
This remake is a joke and is not a true successor to Battlefront, it is a star wars skin on battlefield 4. If the remake sequel is good I will be happy, but as of right now battlefront is not battlefront game, and I would rather play the older ones.
As far as BF1 I am not a huge fan of the Battlefield style FPS, I like Unreal much more, but that is my bias talking, from a game mechanics stand point it seems solid, just not my style.
They both look fantastic, and run very well even on older equipment like mine.
If you're interested in WW1 games, check out Verdun. It has the pros of not being made by EA, and not being about Hollywood's idea of WW1 with steel body armor and automatic weapons everywhere.
