Why would SuperMicro put the OCUlink port in such a place, when they know a PCIe card might be going there :/. So now I cant fit the system with an NVME drive. Any workarounds… Maybe a right angle adapter?
Damn that’s a bad design anyway you look at it.
Maybe try getting a HBA with ports on the other edge of the cards ,I’ve seen cards with ports in that orientation.
Or you can get a right angled connector but even with that it will be a tight fit.
Go with whatever is cost effective.
I’ll post the link or picture of the hba that I mentioned later.
Another option might be a pcie Ribbon extender, but I’ve no personal experience with this. Not sure If or how they handle power.
