Super slim PSU for a super slim gaming PC

Inspired by DeepCool's Nephrite I'm planning to build a super slim gaming PC, with the GPU sitting in the very top of the case.

But finding compatible PSUs that aren't way too loud is pretty hard.

I'll probably have to build the case on my own. Here is what I was thinking:

(The SSD goes next to the motherboard or PSU, I will also try to put a front USB panel in there. And I will add a lot of air outtake slits and maybe some super small case fans.)

I already have an SSD, 8GB DDR3 RAM, a 1150 socket CPU, and a GTX 970 with Pahantom coolers.

I was thinking about this motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85N Phoenix

Would these PSUs be compatible with my setup?
Shuttle PC63J 500W ATX
FSP600-801UK

And what do you think about these CPU coolers?
Zalman CNPS2X
Scythe Kozuti (SCKZT-1000)
Cooltek ITX30
The CPU cooler will suck the air right through the cooling hole that I will cut on top of it.
I need to cool a Intel Core i5 4460.

No one? :/

If you could expand the case to about 8cm deep, you could use an SFX PSU.

You could mount it so it hangs slightly over the motherboard, acting as an exhaust at the same time.

Look into one of Dell's server PSUs. They fit in 1U racks, so if you put in on its side, it should fit.

Interesting concept. You will probably have to sleeve your cables so you won't have a huge mess. Are you going to build it out of wood or metal?
