What is the cheapest way to buy large amounts of flash drives. I'm looking for 8gb and 16gb options. I know there's Alibaba but something tells me the finance department where I work probably wouldn't be happy about ordering direct from china.
I was thinking when I go to conferences that vendors give them out in mass personalized. Where do they get theirs and in what amounts do you get deals.
Head to Alibaba and look for vendors in Taiwan or Korea instead of China if that makes them feel better.
As for the intended purpose, I think it is a terrible marketing strategy. It requires the person to jump through hoops. If they really care about your stuff they will do it, if not, they will take the free drive anyway. The people who care enough to look at the contents of the drive would also jump through the hoop of looking up a website.
I was more worried about dealing with an import tariff like when I bought my Ncase.(were a school district and public funding makes things a pain in the ass) And for some reason our accountants only want to deal with purchase orders.
The plan with these is that there are never enough flash drives around and everybody wants to borrow them at work. The only benefit personalized would be is for recovering the drives later from teachers. I was just wondering how vendors get them cheap enough to give for free.
