So, my gtx 970 just sold for $295, and my 390x auction is currently sitting at $330. With that money i plan on getting a 980ti, but I'm undecided on the brand to get. I'm leaning towards an MSI, but i would like suggestions on the best one.
My budget is the money i get from my two GPUs. I MIGHT be able to add a little more...
Evga gets my vote. Their warranty allows you to remove the stock cooler to change thermal paste and use water blocks as long as it's returned in original condition. Only manufacturer I know of that allows that.

Does EVGA require proof of purchase and original packaging for RMA returns?
I've only ever bought MSI because of their RMA process being serial number based, and they don't require proof of purchase or original packaging.
It's also serial number based once you register the card you're good to go. Had to send back a 980 this year and it went very smooth. They didn't require proof of purchase and only wanted the card back
