I tried Synergy but my work computer uses cisco VPN and RD. When I connect to VPN it stops working. I figured they have the ports that are needed blocked.
I only need to control 2 computers with 1 keyboard and 1 mouse. I would like to get rid of my 2 keyboard 2 mouse configuration I have going right now =). This is alien tech to me. I haven't used or needed a kvm. Thanks in advance for all your help.

There is only 1 USB connecting to each computer because the switch functions as a hub.
If you only have one monitor (or only want to switch 1 monitor), you could get a full on KVM switch
Ahh that makes since. I dont need to switch monitors. I have all my monitor's hooked up correctly. I just wanted to to fix it where I only had 1 keyboard and mouse on my desk
I will tell you from experience that you shouldn't connect anything but keyboards or mice with this. You can but every time you switch the device will be re-recognized, etc. It sucks.
that stinks lol. Nevermind, I get what you were saying now. (don't use usb flash drives or anything like that just mouse and keyboard) This is what my desk looks like right now.
you could get a KVM and setup dual screen on one, and screen switching with the other.
(thats what I did)
