Suddenly my PC won't boot from a USB

Seems odd this, I have a Gigabyte Z77-D3H motherboard and I've had no issues with it until today. For some reason it won't let me select the USB drive to boot from.

I used to just hit F12 and a list of drives would pop up. Now this doesn't work. Going into the BIOS and I can't even select a USB port as a boot device.

Currently BIOS is F18, which to be fare is a few behind what is available.

Any advice would be most splendid :D

I did a firmware update and that seems to have fixed this issue. Wish it had fixed my shutdown issue with Gnome but that's another story.

Yes it is UEFI, but I have set everything to legacy.

FFS I'd about ready to burn this motherboard to ash.

I cannot boot from the DVD now, so along with not being ably to boot from a USB I'm screwed. I have everything set to legacy.

When booting from the DVD I think it's working but it just gets stuck on a flashing cursor for a long time, then Loading bootlogo appears along with the flashing cursor.

*EDIT*

I'm wondering if it the DVD media, using a DVD +RW. I've tried a copy of Arch that's on a regular CD-R and that loads.
