Sub €50 & €100Headphones

Have a mate looking to buy new headphones to use with his MP3 player and was asking for my advice, but since I use eadbuds instead I wouldn't know much about the current headphones on the market.

He said he wanted to get a set of beats but if I remember correctly beats re just incredibly overpriced and arn't particularly worth it so I told him to avoid him.
He would like something that has very good bass, foldable and has a detachable cord.

Looking for two examples since he dosn't have a fianl budget, one for €50 or less and another for €100 or less including shiiping to Ireland.

Thanks chaps.

Hey I'm Irish too! :) You can get good deals in Harvey Norman. JVC DJ Headphones are amazing: comfortable, great quality, all you need from headphones. It also comes with an extender and a converter to a larger jack. BUY THEM! €99 normally but I got 'em from Harvey Norman on sale for €59 in Cork. Hope this helps! (BTW using these headphones now to watch TekSyndicate videos :D )

BTW I'm a metal head too :)

Why the low budget if he was thinking of Beats initially? :) Anyways, the Numark Electrowave provides Beats sound for half the price and fits the description on all points (detachable cable, foldable). The design however is a love or hate thing so could be a problem if he hates the way they look.

Beats are trashy, overpriced and simply not worth it.

AKG generally makes quality headphones, both hi-end and generic daily use ones.

My daily use at home headphones are the AKG K701's wich I run through an amp but that's not for carrying around with you obviously.

Is he looking for on-ear or over-ear headphones?

Preferably over ear but he'd take either if it's any good, he was planning on saving to near €300 originally for Beats but i said you could more then likely get something simular for the third of the price.

Those Numark Electrowave look gourgous imo but I'd have to see what he thinks of them.

BTW I think Harvey Norman is tad bit dear and there's none in my location (south Wicklow) so it'll be easier to order online.
