For those who still dont know…
proprietary software btw, more secure btw. The lesson to be learned - read the privacy policy always.
In their privacy policy they do mention collection of history and search data.
I really enjoy when people get salty for their privacy after it was “breached” because they are lazy to read. As we say in Bulgaria - “След дъжд, качулка.” which translated in English is - After the rain you are putting on the hood.
Hm… did not know the extent. Although I do have the tracking disabled in the settings (or had?).
Time to switch I guess
You’re completely off base. The problem is that Stylish was an amazing extension that did not compromise its users’ privacy for years. And then one day the original developer sold out to a company, perhaps even one that also promised not to screw over its users. But then that company sold to another company, and they proceeded to do just that.
As a Stylish addon user, you would have no way of knowing any of that stuff happened. The addon you used for the past decade just autoupdated like normal.
And that right there, that is a problem.
Alternatively, don’t use either if you’re not 12 years old.
Yes, because wanting to customize sites to add dark modes, change formatting, and remove annoyances is only for pre-teens.

I knew you’d understand.
Sorry, did I need to use a sarcasm tag there? I’ll edit it in for ya!
Or you could get over webstyles and just use the internet.
Yeah, and you can get over shoes and just walk around barefoot. Saves money and better for your arches.
Its not the same, you in this situation look like you choose your shoes by their looks and if they are not good looking you are ready to change their colour or design. At the same time Aremis is the kind of guy that goes to a shop grabs a pair that fits and forgets about it.
In my opinion what you are doing, to me is a waste of time however everyone can decide how to fill their “free” time.
Just on a side note yes I do update my extensions manually but not for the same reason. I like to read update notes and check new features but I miss them if they are on auto-update.
In Firefox
the one before the last.
I never used stylish and I didn’t know that it was Open source before the first sale. My comment was directed more to people that installed stylish after it became closed source.
I do agree with you that currently there is no feature to tell people that already have the addon that it has now a new owner or it became a different product.
