Hey guys, I know we all have alot of console obsessed fanboys out there, moslty kids whos parents won't or can't afford to buy them an expansive gaming PC.
But c'mon. We really need to spread the word that you CAN build a decent gaming PC for the price of what it's going to cost our friends and famility to buy the new PS4 or 720.
Not to mention with a PC you are not locked into anything, it's for general purpose AND the games are MUCH cheaper.
I'll be telling my less computer-literate friends, will you?
We need to convince people of three things, 1: that there are better ways of aquiring a gaming PC then blowing $900 on an alienware that can barely run modern games, 2: that buying a $400 PC and a $400 console is not if fact cheaper than buying a $700 gaming PC, and 3: that building a PC is not rocket science, in fact, it's so easy, that a child could do it.
This is much easier said than done, but if you pester them enough, anyone who we would actually want in the community will see sense. I think we are on the verge of a boom in the popularity of PC gaming, we just need to help people see that there are better options than selling your soul to microsoft or sony in exchange for a product that they don't technically own.
I've convinced my cousins into trying to build a PC, all they have to do is somehow convince their parents into building it (my aunts and uncles find it "risky," and one of them is going to college soon).
So yeah, PC is going to be obviously better. I play on both PC and console (consoles for their exclusives and games not on PC, PC for mutliplats and the exclusives on there).
