Hope this is in the right place!I'm thinking of studying computer applications or enterprise computing next year in university and i was wondering if someone could tell me the differences and if there is more demand for one degree or the other? Thank you!
Could you give a bit more detail, like the modules you will have to take for each of those.
Usually 'Application' programming will refer to programs which users interact with directly whereas 'Enterprise computer' will refer more to backend systems and may involve more sysadmin tasks, but there is no hard and fast line to draw on this. As for what has more demand, they're about the same. I would focus on whichever one you think you will enjoy more.
You should definitely teach yourself the basics and see what you like. A good specialist on a lower demand is better than a bad one that's in high demand.
