Hey guys,
So im a college student and i really want something better than these bose freestyles. I just want some suggestions on a pair of headphones or IEM's that are bellow or at least near the $200 range. I'm also in the library allot so i would need something that's closed back.
Thanks guys!!
I love these: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR1R-Premium-Over-Headphones/dp/B009A6CZ30
Use them every single day, and they sound amazing.
how comfortable are they if they are around your neck?? Thats a big concern for me like say if im in class. those seem nice but im also considering the beyerdynamic custom one pros but i hear that they are quite bulky.
Hmm.. I never wore them like that before. I'm doing that now and I guess they feel alright? the earcups turn so they don't get much on the way and rest flat against the chest.
If you are wearing them outside, there is a little issue I had once, in a very windy day I could hear some wind noise while wearing them on the street.
These also can work as a headset, one of the cables that are included with them have a Mic and volume controls for smartsphones, you can use them with a PC if you get an adapter that is like $5.
Never tried the beyerdynamics, I really want to but I haven't found them in any stores around my area.
I don't use IEM's but Logan liked these:

He compared them to some 200$ IEM's he heard.
These are really good. I use them for office work:
http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-Custom-One-Pro-Discontinued/dp/B008XEYT48/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422492786&sr=8-1&keywords=Beyerdynamic+custom+one
You can adjust the bass a little on these to your liking. And if you look around I am sure you can find them under 200$. Right now I would say there a bit over priced.
And a friend got these:

They sound really good for the price. For me I had to use the EQ a little bit to get them where I like them.
Custom One Pros are bulky for sure as I own one. As a result, I leave my COP at home and get a DX160ie from Beyerdynamics.
DX160ie are bassy but not overpowered, the high impedance of the IEM can be overcome without an AMP. You just have to adjust the volume slightly higher than normal.
For headset, Sennheiser Urbanite is very good too.
Oh and another thing, I do not mind buying refurbished or used. With that said I was looking at a pair of vmoda m-100's any thoughts or insight??
I use my 250Ohm DT770s for school
