I want to stream a little bit without spending a boatload of cash because I plan to go 6800 as soon as funds allow.

So, between 1660 super and 5500xt 8gb, is there a real drastic difference streaming? I’m running a 3700x and fedora 32.

In the past I’ve had amazing luck with nvidia, even though I hate the fact the drivers aren’t open source. BUUUTTT money matters and the 5500xt is a better value.

Show me the way.

Modern CPU’s are good enough to stream from these days. Nvidia encoder use to be decent for little performance it took but if you want quality just run it off the CPU with H264 or something like that.
