I am unsure where this post should go but this seemed like the most logical choice. Sorry if I'm wrong. So my PC has been doing some very weird things for the past few months. Sometimes when I turn it on it loads into windows for a second and then the entire screen starts spazzing out and flickering so I have to do a reset. And lately it has been randomly reverting to a previous state of the system where I don't have all my programs installed. When i restart it then it is back to how it should be again. I have no clue why it is randomly doing these things so all help is extremely appreciated.
PC specs : Fractal Design Define R4, Asrock FM2A75M-DGS, AMD A10-5800K, Kingston HyperX Predator DDR3 2133MHz, Seagate Barracuda 1TB, Corsair CX750M PSU
What happens if you reinstall windows?
Formatting and reinstalling didn't affect the frozen flickering screen at all. And the reverting started happening after the format and reinstall.
I'm tempted to look at the motherboard or APU as the problem, but I would prefer if someone else looked into this as well.
I really hope someone has some idea about this. I could deal with the flickering frozen screen but the entire reverting thing has gotten me pretty worried.
Try updating your chipset drivers first.
After that disable the XMP profile on the ram, I read it might be a conflict with the ram speed.
I will look further into it.
Could you also download HWMonitor and let me know the temps of the processor

OK, on the Asrock site and there appears to be two versions of the board: the normal one and a revision (R2.0). Is your board the revision or the original?

Ok, it seems that the problem that you were having with it was fixed in a bios update (2.20 to be exact), try updating your bios and see if that fixes it
Should I just go for the 2.20 update or is included in the 2.60 update and I should go for that? I see it mentions the flickering but I see nothing about the computer reverting back and forth during restarts. Any Idea what's the about?
Get 2.60 it will have everything, the reversion might be windows thinking that the problem is software based so it is trying to go back to a known good configuration and see if it fixes the problem
Ok I'll give it a shot but I'm gonna have to do it tomorrow since it's 1.50 a.m. here and I'll need a fresh head for that. I'll start with it first thing when I wake up and post here what I find out. Can you check back here tomorrow?

Ok I did the bios update. I've been doing multiple restarts to see if anything strange happens but so far it has booted up correctly every time. The update did reset my ram speeds so I changed it back to what it was before and would like confirmation that everything is correct for 2133MHz ram. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk200/JussiSin/CPUz.jpg
Everything looks good, I'm glad that we managed to sort out the problem :)
