So I’ve been gaming on a LG 4K TV which I bought for like $400 on sale at Fry’s way back when. Since 4k gaming was a thing… I’ve been on it… even though I hate 60hz. Recently I thought I’d try the Alienware 34" 3440x1440 gsync, found a refurb. Oh man… It looks good but not as good as 4k. I can never go back lol. Also for some reason gsync is not what I thought it would be. When ever it’s on, I’m getting lower GPU utilization. Strongly considering taking it back. However just seeing 120hz again after so many years… it’s nice. I found myself turning gsync off to get the extra frames and couldn’t tell a difference in screen tearing really…
Sure would love to see some more 40" 120fps options…
Samsung’s true 120 Hz TVs could be worth looking into, but I haven’t seen one in the flesh yet. (edit: limited to 1080p at 120 Hz)
