Convince me not to buy the Bowers & Wilkins MM-1. I can get them for $425 (USD).

USE:
- These will be my main computer speakers. Not for parties. Will only use them when at my desk.
- I listen to an eclectic mix of music, from classical music to old school house to indie rock.
- I rarely game.
- I'm not into booming loose bass, i prefer it tight.
- Will probably hook these up to my MacBookPro mostly, but might use other laptops.
Are there any alternatives that I should consider? I was thinking of the Audioengine A5+, but I can't get these locally.
Should I just get a moderately priced (i.e. cheaper) small HiFi system from Yamaha or Sony and plug my computer to in instead? Thoughts?
