Stocking up for the Winter. (Games I got to run in Wine)

Well, I thought I would finally try to get all of my games on Linux. I know a lot of you who are currently playing Fallout 4 and the new Star Wars Battlefront will probably snicker at this list< but I don't care. A good number of these games were the Triple A titles of their day. I would also say they were better. They took risks and pushed the envelope. Now, there is so much money in games that companies play it as safe as possible. It's to the point if you release a bad game...you're out of business. That's why everyone plays it safe. It's also why I'm looking more and more into independent games.

The other reason that there aren't many new games on here is because this is what I have to work with:

I'm amazed that I got the games that I have on here running to be honest.

I downloaded a torrent that had a bunch of old Dos games configured for Dos box
It had hundreds of games. Just about anything you could imagine. They play.

Lost Causes:
Medieval Total War
Shogun Total War
Civilization Call to Power 2
Sims 2

The only game that will play on Windows Eight is civilization. The other three are heading for the dustbin. Very sad.

The games that won't play or I haven't had time to figure out which hoops to jump through:

Not giving up on:
King's Quest 8
Star Wars Battlefront 1,2
Star wars Jedi Outcast and Academy
Star Wars: Republic Commando

I'll have to look into King's Quest when I get time. The one company that I always have problems with is Lucas Arts. I'm fast coming up on two years of Linux and I'm now just able to play Kotor one and two with no problems. I'll just stick these games on the shelf. I'm in no real hurry. I bought these for my nephews to play. Knights of the Old Republic are the main ones I'm interested in.

This game list reminds me of the old Windows XP days:)
