Hi Guys, a quick question. what does a fan do on a stock AMD/Intel cooler? pull or push?
I believe its pull, but can you guys confirm. Cheers!

Pushes downward through the heatsink.
you sure, mine pulls air toward the case not the CPU. i feel hot air :/
have you opened your case? it could be just your case fan blowing out the hot air. Check out the pics here: http://techreport.com/review/16796/amd-phenom-ii-x4-955-processor You will see that the fan blows air in the direction of the CPU. Of course the air has to go somewhere after that so it distributes in your case
Almost all stock fan heatsinks pull I would need to see the blades of your fan to know for sure.
im beginning to think i have installed the fan on the wrong way or something. my fan on my intel CPU does blow the hot air towards the case from the heatsink/CPU
so "most" stock fans should move cool air from the case into the hot heatsink on the CPU?
Yes.
My LGA1155 Intel i5 heatsink pulls air and shoots it downward towards the CPU.
So did my LGA775 Intel Core2Duo e8600 heatsink/fan.
The blades are curved for push, at least for the majority of Intel. I'm 100% sure that my fan pushes air downward.
