Still Looking for a GPU

I had a topic similar to this one, but I wasn't being clear about what I was looking for.

Here's my rig.  These are parts I currently own.

I use this rig mainly for gaming, recording my gameplay at 60 FPS with Fraps, and minor video editing.  I will also begin streaming my gameplay in the next couple of weeks.  (I'm aware that the 8350 is better for streaming, but I want to stay with the BitFenix Prodigy, which, of course, only supports m-ITX motherboards.)

In my original rig, I had a 3770k and an EVGA GTX 670 4GB, but I am currently looking to sell both of these off in a full build.

As you can see, I have a 2560x1440 monitor.  Over the last couple of weeks, I've been doing research on which GPU to buy that can play Battlefield 4 on high settings while still being able to record at 60 FPS with Fraps.  Despite my efforts, I've been getting a lot of mixed information.  I finally decided to purchase a Gigabyte GTX 760 4GB.

Despite this, I'm still not sure if this is the GPU I should go with.  As I said, I've been getting a lot of mixed information, and I still need help deciding which GPU I should go with.

Money is not an issue, but at the same time, I don't want to drop $900+ on a Titan.  I will if I have to, but I'm trying to avoid going that route.

That said, what is the best GPU I can buy right now that will serve my purposes?

You can find 7970s for just over $300 these days.

Is there a particular reason why I should get this over everything else?  Will it be able to do what I want?

I'm not trying to be rude, but this is the kind of response I've been getting: what to buy, but no reason behind it.

You wont get much out of 4 gb vram on a 760.  It's underpowerd for 1440p gaming.  For around $100 more, you can get a more powerfull 770.  (just picked one up yesterday).  The Sapphire 7970 ghz edition that anarmypig recomended is really good as well and it performs on par with the 770.  Better value than the 770, yet you might benifit waiting till the hawaii gpu is released.  It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Like I said, money is not an issue.  I will drop $1k+ on a Titan if I have to, but if it's not necessary, I won't.

I strongly recommend the GTX 770 4gb for the high resolution and the fact that games will soon be supporting much higher resolution and be pushing the vram usage up. Now the next generation of AMD GPU's might be a game changer, but you will have to wait and see. If you want a for sure thing for future proofing and don't want to upgrade for a little while, then a gtx 780 is a winner. Far less than a titan and similar performance. I admit it is much more than a 770 and a 7970, but the performance is amazing bar the titan which is frankly too expensive to consider. Another option is sli 760 4gb. that's a lot more performance for less than a 780, but you dont have the 100% smoothness you have with a single GPU.

SLI is not an option on a m-ITX rig, which is what I currently have.

Get the GTX 780. You are looking for garunteed FPS on a high resolution screen and you want some future proofing.... And you can afford it. If you get the 760 4gb, it will probably work, but wouldnt depend on it to pour out a solid 60 FPS in every situation in the game. The 780 won't falter from a solid 60 FPS when you are recording.

This biggest thing is that the 780 will give you the FPS with the eye candy turned on. You will need to turn down the settings for the 760. I am thinking you will be wanting to impress with your videos though and you dont want the FPS to drop when recording either.

This model is primo, but you could get a cheaper model as long as it has the 2 fan cooling unit.

Here is a gtx 770 that performs on par with a stock 780
