SteamVR Benchmark Thread

So Valve has released a new Benchmarking tool and with the growing interest in VR I thought we should make a thread to track our results.

The SteamVR Benchmark can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/323910/

GPU-Z can be found here: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

CPU-Z can be found here: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Hopefully we can get enough results as to indicate what processors and gpu's are a good fit for VR. The recommended minimum for Oculus is an I5 and a Gtx 970, so if we could get some benchmarks from parts around, or below, that performance area that would be very telling.

Post your screenshots and I will input them into the spreadsheet.

Tried to log my results but your google doc is view only. Did you want people to post on the thread or log results in the spread sheet.

Just post on the thread and I'll keep the spreadsheet up to date :)

What was the cpu in your run? Also thanks for the reply!

pretty much the same for me :D apart from the fact i have a fx 4130

4790 non K. And I was unable to edit the sheet without requesting to edit it with my email. Which I didn't want to give out.

My 8350 at 4.6GHz and Asus DCU II R9 290 at 1099MGz passed.

Here ya go .. not actually decided if I'll order one or not. I think the Occulus will cover my curiosity for the first few months with the games I want to play.

i7 5820K @ 4250MHz
980 Ti @ 1450MHz turbo

FX-8320 @ 4.8ghz
R9 290X @ 1100/1525 + mem timing mods

However in contrast to my post above ... The GTX 670 just doesn't quite cut it.
Probably not worth blowing the dust off the Q6600 + HD7870 seeing the results below.

i5 3570K @ 4.2GHz
GTX 670 @ 1215MHz

I will re do it but I can tell you I was just inside the ready part of the scale with my FX6100 and my 290. 3 frames under 90 and 6 limited by CPU if I remember correctly.

It even went so fat as to say the CPU was fine, the GPU was the limiting factor.

must be an "AMD title" or its because of how nerfed 780 is

AMD is doing way better at this, all you guys with 290's are embarrassing me

OP disregard edit request, I derp

My first run was like that so I smacked it with a 10% bump to GPU clock and power to get over the line.
The O.C. worked better than I thought it would tbh.

i5 4690K @ 4.6GHz
Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming @ 1530MHz

780 nerfage is real

You didn't even change anything

you had the ti

FX 6100 Bulldozer and R9 290
