Wasn't sure where to post this...felt right to post here...but anyway.
So I'm looking for a laptop that I could use for Steams In-Home Streaming thing and work (Microsoft Office and Chrome). That way I don't have to have a gaming laptop that's usually either heavy, hot, and/or has shitty battery life. I guess I really am only looking for an ultrabook...
Thing is, I don't really know of any good ones besides the Acer Aspire S7? I think it is? But I also want something that is portable with a decent battery life. So I guess something like
-Less than 17"
-Decent looking
- 4-5 hours Battery life at least
- Light and portable.
-Option for SSD
-(optional) Easy to upgrade. (HDD, RAM)
No real budget on this one either. Just as long as im not paying 2k for something like an i3...
Was looking at the X240. Really small, great battery life. Decent specs. But heard people complaining about it. Kinda drew me away from it, but still looking at it as an option. Currently looking at the X240 and Aspire X7. Still open to different options however.
We've been ordering Dell Latitude E5540's lately, and those are pretty damn nice for the price. Fairly rugged, not something you'd cry over if you dropped it. Great battery life, honestly the thing can hold its own gaming even without in-home streaming. Right around $1k for something decent, or you can max it out for closer to $1400.
mediocre touchpad and hinges. Locks to keep the lid closed are gone from last model apparently. just little nitpicky things from fanboys maybe. Again still looking at it, but imo the Aspire S7 still looks better and get's the job done too.
