Ladies and Gentlemen! It's finally here! Steam OS will be a Linux based operating system and will incorporate the friends list, etc. within it! It will be free like all Linux operating systems and can be downloaded by anyone. To me the potential with developers will be amazing! We can finally build our own steam box! I personally will be playing around a few APUs and GTX 650s etc. for game development and testing ! I can't wait and so I as leave you with excitement what are your thoughts? Are there any cons? (If this in the Tek everyone knows I SAID IT FIRST ...Logan lmao!)
I bought a controller just to mess around with big picture and see what their idea of seamless transition from desktop to living room is (probably still keyboard + mouse). Still there are a few good games like trine2 that are great for bigpicture.
I played around with a logitech gamepad with windows 8 metro it was okay and at times I used a mini keyboard. But I believe Valve will succeed due to the gain in popularity and the release of Amd's new APUs FM2+ .
