Steam Machines, What happened to them?

Its probably because they did not have manny reasons to exists in the first place.
They are basicly pretty useless.

I mean install any Linux OS of your liking, install the steam app and you got pretty much the same thing.
But doing that, you still have a usable desktop machine for other things.

Its not that do not want it....They do not need it to game on the sofa

so in other words.. they don't want it.

so explain to me how them wanting to stream to their tv means they want a steam box?

Want refers to the activity...I want sth a device that will allow me to game on the sofa...PC gamers want to have what the SteamMachine provides. They just have easier options to have it besides using the SteamMachine....

i would like it if they made the steam box universally updatable like consoles, just have everything u need in one big patch released by valve every once in a while and thats it, no need to make sure ur drivers are all separately up to date or any of the installation hassle that comes with a normal pc, needs a lot of work before it knocks out consoles in that regard.
